SUPPORT COORDINATION
Once a NDIS Plan has been approved, participants can work with Above & Beyond Disability Solutions' Support Coordinators to determine how their funds will be spent and to connect with providers to achieve goals. We look at it as having all the links in your NDIS chain working together to create a strong platform of supports.
Our Support Coordinators can assist participants with:

linking and accessing mainstream, community, informal and provider options
-
negotiating services to be provided and their prices
-
organising service bookings with preferred providers
-
arranging assessments required to determine the nature and type of funding required
-
liaising with plan managers
-
strengthening participants' capacity to coordinate their own supports
MEET THE TEAM
Karen Goodger - Lead Support Coordinator (Sunshine Coast)
Karen has more than 25 years of experience working in community, disability and aged care services. She has worked in leadership and management roles in both not-for-profit and private organisations, helping to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
Karen is passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives. She believes everyone should be treated with dignity, respect and understanding, and is committed to ensuring participants and their families feel listened to, valued and supported.
Karen’s leadership is based on honesty, teamwork and always looking for ways to improve. She understands great service is built by having skilled and supported staff, and, most importantly, listening to the people and communities we support.

Mel Sutton - Specialist Support Coordinator & Psychosocial Recovery (Gympie)
Mel has been working in Support Coordination for more than seven years across both not-for-profit and private organisations. She also works as a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, supporting participants to navigate the NDIS, build their confidence and work towards goals that are meaningful to them.
Mel takes a person-centred and holistic approach, understanding that no two people or situations are the same. She is passionate about genuinely getting to know the people she works with and creating a space where they feel heard, respected and supported without judgement. Mel values honesty, empathy and unconditional positive regard, and aims to help participants feel more confident, informed and in control of their own support journey.

Angela Petith - Support Coordinator (Gympie)
Angela is an experienced Support Coordinator who is passionate about helping participants and their families understand and navigate the NDIS with confidence. With more than seven years of experience in the disability sector, Angela has experience supporting participants through a range of complex situations, connecting with mainstream and community services, Home and Living applications, Assistive Technology, Plan Reassessments and Changes of Situation.
Angela is committed to providing honest and clear advice, supporting participants to make informed choices, and ensuring that each participant remains at the centre of decisions about their supports and future.

Andre Sharp - Support Coordinator (Gold Coast)
Andre brings more than 20 years of experience across the aged care and disability services sectors. Andre is passionate about empowering people to have choice and control over the supports they receive. She takes the time to understand each person's individual circumstances, needs and goals and works alongside them to find practical solutions and navigate often complex service systems.
With her broad experience and practical approach, Andre brings a strong understanding of how to support people to overcome challenges, build confidence and connect with the right services. She is committed to providing respectful, person-centred support and ensuring the people she works with feel listened to, informed and supported to make their own decisions.
