PARTICIPANT INTAKE

In order to provide the best possible support for our participants in a safe environment for everyone, it is important to know as much information about them as they're happy to share.

All AABDS participant's should have a Care & Support plan completed as part of their intake into the organisation. All participants who receive support within their home, should also have a Home Safety Checklist completed.

Both of these document should then be provided to all support staff who care for the participant.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EARLY INTERVENTION

At AABDS, our overall aim of Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) is to ensure that the parents or other key caregivers are able to provide young children who have disability and/or developmental delay with experiences and opportunities that promote the children’s acquisition and use of competencies which enable the child to participate meaningfully in the key environments in their lives.

We will work in partnership with parents/caregivers, families and other significant stakeholders to enhance their knowledge, skills and supports to meet the needs of their child, optimise the child’s learning and development, and the child’s ability to participate in family and community life.

All AABDS ECEI participants must have an ECEI plan written for them in collaboration with their family, that is then share with AABDS support staff and other allied health providers.
