EARLY CHILDHOOD

SUPPORTING
Establish meaningful priorities
We work with children and families to identify priorities and functional outcomes that are meaningful in everyday life. Our supports focus on what the child and family want to achieve, including participation in routines, relationships, learning, family life and the community. We celebrate progress and regularly review whether supports are making a meaningful difference.
Tailor supports
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to early childhood intervention. We tailor supports to the child's and family's strengths, needs, goals, preferences and circumstances. Where appropriate, we embed learning opportunities into everyday routines and natural environments such as home, early childhood education and care, school and community activities.
Respond with understanding
We take the time to understand each child's and family's situation and respond with care, respect and appropriate professional support. We work in ways that promote safety, dignity, choice, participation and positive relationships.
Uphold evidence-informed best practice
Our practitioners work within their qualifications, competence and professional scope. We use supports informed by current evidence, professional expertise, relevant laws and regulations, and the needs and preferences of the child and family.
We are committed to ongoing learning, reflection, supervision and continuous improvement.
